Erica will be tasked with expanding our video presence — more shows on more platforms — as we continue to see video audience and engagement grow. In 2018, Insider Inc. generated 10 billion video views (and this figure includes only videos of 30 seconds or more). And Insider Inc. reaches a monthly audience of more than 100M U.S. individuals across our sites, social and OTT platforms, consistently placing us among the top 5 media brands.

Our catalogue of hit shows includes “Bonkers Closets,” “It’s Cool, But Does It Really Work?,” “Ink Expedition,” “Swimming Hole Safari,” “The Great Cheese Hunt,” and “Travel Dares.” In September 2018, we launched “Business Insider Today” a daily news show produced specifically for Facebook Watch that covers the day’s top business news alongside interviews, investigations, and features.

Erica will be focused on replicating the success of Business Insider Today on new platforms, and will also work to expand our BI Prime video capabilities and content.

She is currently on staff at The Wall Street Journal as a Senior Video Journalist, and previously worked at The New York Times and Agence France-Presse, where she reported and produced compelling visual stories about poverty, presidential elections, protests, natural disasters, and everything in between. We're particularly excited by Erica's work at The New York Times, where she coordinated closely with the publication’s print journalists on video storytelling projects.

Erica also teaches video storytelling at Columbia Journalism School and CUNY as an adjunct professor.

We're so excited to welcome her!
